DHG Cardiology was founded in 2014 on a simple thesis: South Florida deserved a cardiology practice that combined the diagnostic depth of an academic center with the responsiveness of a private clinic. Twelve years later, that thesis is the operating manual.

Every part of DHG — from the way we schedule, to the way we read echocardiograms, to the way we follow up after a hospital stay — is engineered around a single measurement: did the patient get the care they would have received at the best academic centers in the country, without ever feeling like they were processed?
That measurement is harder than it sounds. It requires a smaller panel, a longer visit, and a culture that treats every cardiologist's time as a precious resource — to be spent listening, not transcribing.

A new-patient consultation is sixty minutes — not fifteen. We staff to that, every day, even when the schedule is full.

Every complex case is reviewed in our Tuesday multidisciplinary conference: imaging, EP, interventional, prevention — together.

We adopt new technology when the data supports it — not when the marketing arrives. And we de-adopt when better evidence emerges.

We publish our outcomes: door-to-physician time, complication rates, patient-reported outcomes. The data lives on our site.

Dr. Elena Marquez opens DHG with a single exam room and one borrowed echo machine.
IAC accreditation
The DHG echo lab earns Intersocietal Accreditation Commission status — among the first independent practices in Miami-Dade.
Imaging suite expansion
Cardiac CT and stress imaging capability brought in-house, eliminating outside referrals for most workups.
Electrophysiology launches
Dr. Rohan Patel joins from Penn to launch our arrhythmia program, including remote device monitoring.
Women's Heart Program
A nationally-recognized program for women's cardiology, sex-specific risk assessment and cardio-obstetrics.
AI-augmented ECG
DHG becomes one of the first private practices in Florida to deploy AI-assisted ECG screening at the point of care.
A second location, soon
