Diagnostic philosophy

We start with the question, not the test.

The most common failure in modern cardiology is over-testing — ordering scans before understanding the question they are meant to answer. At DHG we invert that order.

Every consultation begins with a careful history and exam. The testing that follows — whether an echo, a stress test, a CT angiogram or genetic workup — is selected to answer a specific, named clinical question. Results are interpreted in the context of the patient sitting in the room, not the algorithm in the report.

That sounds slow. In practice, it is faster — because we very rarely need a second visit to undo the conclusions of a first.

Have a diagnosis you'd like a second opinion on?

Many of our patients first come to DHG for a second opinion. We are happy to provide one — and to send you back to your physician with a clear note.
