Common questions.
How do I become a new patient? +
You can request a new-patient appointment through our online form, by phone at (305) 555-0142, or via referral from your primary care physician. Most new patients are seen within seven days. Self-pay patients are welcome.
What should I bring to my first visit? +
Photo ID, insurance card, a list of current medications (with doses), and any prior cardiac records, ECGs, echocardiograms or imaging on disc. If you have a wearable device with rhythm or BP data, bring it — we will review it during your visit.
How long is a new-patient visit? +
New-patient consultations are scheduled for 60 minutes. Many patients also have same-day diagnostic studies (ECG, echocardiogram, vascular ultrasound) — we plan around your schedule.
Do you offer telehealth visits? +
Yes — for established patients, follow-up visits, results review and remote device monitoring. New patients are seen in person for the initial consultation.
How do I get a copy of my records? +
Request records through our patient portal or by emailing care@dhgcardiology.com. Standard requests are completed within 5 business days, urgent requests the same day.
What hospitals are you affiliated with? +
We hold privileges at Mount Sinai Medical Center, Baptist Health South Florida, University of Miami Health System and Jackson Memorial — for procedures, admissions and continuity of care.
How do I refill a medication? +
The fastest way is through our patient portal. You can also call our office. Most non-controlled refills are completed within one business day.
What is your cancellation policy? +
We ask for at least 24 hours notice. We understand life happens — we will always work with you. Repeated late cancellations may incur a fee.
